Community Engagement
Gregory Hanners will actively involve the community in shaping educational policies for the benefit of all children. Community engagement and support are powerful drivers of student success. Our family experienced this at McDowell Elementary, where active parents provided resources and support.
Student-Centered Approach
Putting students at the forefront and focusing on Early Skills, Gregory Hanners will work to implement programs that support academic excellence and personal growth for all students - from basic skills to college preparatory programs to pre-professional and trades training.
Transparency and Accountability
Ensuring transparency in decision-making processes and maintaining accountability to serve the best interests of the community are vital to our success. Our school board must actively listen to parents, teachers and students & communicate its priorities with all parts of the community.
About Gregory Hanners
Candidate for Maury County School Board District 8
I am committed to making a positive impact on public education in Maury County. As a 25-year resident of Maury County and a father and the husband of a Central High School teacher, I share the concerns of many Maury Countians - we want the best for our children. I bring my experience from 25+ years in private business, as a volunteer quality examiner for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence, a substitute teacher and from my work with youth as a BSA Assistant Scoutmaster.
